Rosetta is ESA’s comet-chasing mission heading
to comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko. It will be the first mission ever to orbit
a comet’s nucleus and land a probe (named Philae)
on its surface. It will also be the first spacecraft to fly alongside a comet
as it heads towards the inner Solar System, watching how this icy object is
transformed by the warmth of the Sun.
At 10:00am,
on 20 January 2014, ESA's Rosetta mission will wake up after 31 months of deep space hibernation.
Let’s all shout: "WAKE UP, ROSETTA !!"
There's a Wake Up! Contest at https://www.facebook.com/RosettaMission .
Put your students in front of a camera and record them shouting to Rosetta! (maximum 90 seconds video duration)
